João MordomoI help people and organizations connect faith, work, and mission so the good news of Jesus reaches every person, sphere of society, and people of the world.
Based in Curitiba, Brazil · Serving GloballyMy driving motivation is to see Jesus proclaimed and exalted among all peoples. To that end, for nearly four decades, I have worked at the intersection of global mission, leadership, and enterprise. My calling is to spread a passion for the glory of God in all areas of life, all spheres of society, and all peoples of the world. That calling led me to co-found (at age 20) and co-lead (for 35 years) Crossover Global, which has now planted nearly 8000 churches among unreached peoples. It also led me to serve as a missionary in Belgium for five years and Brazil for 30, a full-time pastor for seven years, and a church planter.
Today I serve as founding associate and Executive Director of BAM Global, and Catalyst for Business as Mission with the Lausanne Movement. With doctorates in Intercultural Studies (DIS) and Religious Studies (PhD, with emphasis in Christian Leadership), and work and ministry experience in over 60 countries, I also teach and equip established and emerging leaders and organizations through my university teaching roles, writing, conferences, coaching and consulting.
I'm married to an amazing woman named Sophia. Her name means "wisdom", and that's her gift as well. She's a personal trainer who is committed to helping people love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. We have two incredible adult children, an electrical engineer and a lawyer. Both are happily married to godly Christians, and all of them are committed to God's global glory every day through their jobs, local churches and different types of missions activities.
From the classroom to the boardroom to the field, I work with leaders who want to serve God and their neighbors through their vocations and organizations.
Helping movements, networks and organizations pursue the Great Commission with clarity, collaboration, and care.
